Ingredients
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
16 oz bacon
2 - 8 oz cans water chestnuts
toothpicks
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Soak water chestnuts in additional Worcestershire sauce.
In saucepan, heat ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce just to boiling. Cut bacon slices into thirds. Cut some of the bigger water chestnuts in half. Wrap bacon around water chestnut, secure with toothpicks. Dip into sauce. Bake until bacon is completely cooked, 45-50 minutes.
Or, cook bacon just until bendy before wrapping water chestnuts.
Keep warm by placing them in a crockpot with a bit of extra sauce.
