Put 1/2 mix into cake pan. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
Melt 14 oz. carmel (squares) and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Melt in microwave until melted.
Pour carmel over cake. Also pour 1 cup chopped pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet) over cake. Pour the rest of the cake batter into pan.
Bake at 350º 25-30 minutes.
Cover with favorite chocolate icing or use the ready made ones.
