Lumpia by
Ingredients
• 1 package of Menlo Wrappers
• 1 lb ground beef or chicken
• 2 cups of chopped veggies (cabbage, carrots, etc) – can use organic prepackaged slaw
• 1 small onion diced
• ¼ cup oyster sauce
• 1.2 tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 egg
• 3/4- 1 cup of Palm shortening for frying
Instructions
1. In a skillet combine ground beef, onion, and veggies and cook till mean is done
2. Add salt, pepper, and oyster sauce and mix until blended
3. Remove skillet from oven and set aside
4. Crack egg into small bowl and whisk (this is the “glue”)
5. Peel the lumpia wrapper into individual pieces and place a spoonful of filling into the wrapper and roll (see link for “how to”) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW3Onq1NSDY
6. Heat oil and fry lumpia until golden brown on one side and flip
