1 1/4 hr/15 min prep This is an old standby in Pennsylvania Dutch Country! To use as a stuffing, increase bread to 6 slices and a 2 beaten eggs. By yooper.

Ingredients

2 1/4 lbs potatoes, peeled, and chopped 4 slices white bread, torn into pieces 1/2 c diced onion 1/2 c diced celery salt and pepper

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. 2. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. 3. Drain and mash. 4. Preheat over to 350. 5. Lightly grease a 2 qt casserole dish. 6. In a large bowl, mix together the potatoes, white bread, onion, celery, salt and pepper. 7. Pour into prepared casserole dish and bake for 1 hour.
