Banana Chocolate Shake from Kira's Recipes
Makes 1 serving

Notes

I'm using psyllium husk because I wanted to up my fiber intake (trying to lower my cholesterol). Psyllium makes it a thick (but light) shake; you can also omit the psyllium and use a tad less milk (or more bananas) for a creamier version. This doesn't taste much like a real chocolate shake, but if you use 2% milk and add some chocolate syrup instead of peanut butter, it's a bit closer to shake-like. Definitely use frozen bananas. Don't use them if they've turned brown in the freezer - a bit fresher is better.

Ingredients

1/2 frozen banana 1/2 cup silk hi-protein nut milk (or any milk will do) 1 tsp cocoa 1/2 tsp powdered peanut butter (optional) 1 tsp psyllium husk fiber 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Add frozen bananas to food processor and puree until chunks form. Add half the milk (1/4 cup) and continue blending to get it to be smooth and creamy. Add powders (cocoa, peanut butter, psyllium husk) and vanilla extract, and remaining 1/4 cup milk. Puree until well blended. Pour & enjoy!
