Ingredients
2 lb ground beef, browned
8 tsp butter
1 1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp dried parsley
2 tsp dried basil flakes
6 cup chicken broth
8 cup shredded hash browns
3 cup milk
1 lb velvetta cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
Saute vegetables in margarine over med heat. Add flour and herbs to mixture. Stir consistently for approximately 2 minutes (long enough to let flour cook in). Add broth, potatoes and ground beef. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Turn to low heat and add milk and cheese. Do no boil! Leave on just long enough to melt the cheese. Stir in the sour cream just before serving.
