Linguine with Clam Sauce from Cornmom's Recipes

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter 1 Tbsp. olive oil 2 shallots 2 garlic cloves, chopped 2 Tbsp. flour 1 can (10 oz.) chopped clams with juice 1/2 cup dry white wine 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1 tsp. fresh thyme 1 pkg. (16 oz.) linguine, cooked according to package directions

Instructions

Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium-high heat; Add shallots and garlic and cook, stirring 5 minutes; Add flour and cook 1 minute; Stir in clam juice, wine and clams and simmer 5 minutes; Stir in herbs; Season to taste wit salt and pepper; Pour sauce over cooked pasta and serve.
