Notes
Add cut uncooked green peppers and onions to baking dish and bake in sauce with chicken.
Ingredients
1 chicken breast half, cut in pieces
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
olive oil
garlic salt
Sauce:
3/4 cup sugar
dissolve 1 chicken bullion cube in 1/4 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup water
Instructions
Combine ingredients for sauce in a small pan and simmer on stove for a few minutes. Remove from heat and set sauce aside.
Dip halves of chicken breasts in egg, then roll into a mixture of 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup cornstarch. Brown the chicken in olive oil and garlic salt on the stove until crispy, but not cooked through. Place browned chicken pieces into a 9 by 13 dish and cover with the sauce you already made. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Serve with white rice.
